RACING
Les Voiles de St Barth
17 - 23 April, 2022
With an overall attendance of 74 boats, six Swan yachts participated in the 11th edition of this event created especially for Saint Barths to continue the long, colourful history of racing on the island.
Congratulations to Swan 601 Stark Raving Mad VII who was the stand-out winner of the CSA 3 class with just one blemish on their otherwise perfect scoreline.
"We thought it was going to be light airs, but the Caribbean just can’t tolerate that! The wind filled in - we saw some 18s. It was beautiful – a great race course too today. It has been good to get down here and race, to get the thing going again.” - Tactician Anthony Kotoun speaking with the International Maxi Association.
Second place in CSA 3 was taken by Swan 58 OM II.

PalmaVela
Palma de Mallorca, 29 April - 8 May, 2022
The 18th edition of the well-known Spanish event sees the participation of more than 120 yachts divided into La Larga de PalmaVela (the offshore regatta inaugurated in 2021) and the “classic” in-shore racing.
Nine Swan One Design yachts participated in PalmaVela, while six Swans faced the La Larga.
Great result for Swan 45 Smerit, which won line honours at ‘La Larga’ and third place in ORC A2. Congratulations also to Swan 53 Sirveren Swaen, second on the podium of ORC0-1.

Tre Golfi Sailing Week
Sorrento, 14-21 May, 2022
A fine fleet of Swan yachts will attend the 67th edition of Regata dei Tre Golfi
Swan 651 Shirlaf and Swan 651 Lunz am Meer join the fleet for winning the Maxi European Championship, while five One Design Swan Yachts will compete for the ORC Mediterranean Championship: ClubSwan 42 Be Wild, ClubSwan 42 Mela, ClubSwan 42 Setsail, Swan 45 Tengher and Swan45 Miss K Checkmate.
The boats will be hosted in the charming marina of Piano di Sorrento, whose picturesque village will provide an unforgettable setting for the social events organised for the crews.
This event represents the kick-off of the SWAN MEDITERRANEAN SERIES.

Rolex Swan Cup 2022 is approaching
Porto Cervo, 11-18 September 2022
Among the Swan yachts already registered at Rolex Swan Cup, Ray Mitchell's Liberty of Cowes.
Mr. Mitchell has competed in the Rolex Swan Cup on many occasions. In 2014 he sailed on his Swan 411 Accomplice and later in 2016 on his Swan 45 Checkmate.
This year he is back with another Swan, the Swan 46 Liberty of Cowes, and this time he's bringing his 19-year-old son Tom and a few of his Laser dinghy sailing friends to introduce them to 'big boat racing'.
We're looking forward to welcoming back Ray and the crew of Liberty of Cowes to the Rolex Swan Cup later this year.

Swan 48 Aanandi
The Swan 48 is designed for cruising and has been made with an obsessive attention to ensure comfort and safety when under way, as well as good performance. In fact, with just a few, simple changes you can compete in races. It is not a racing model, but the performance level is nevertheless guaranteed. The 15-tonne displacement, and the sail area works on the fact that the semi-square top mainsail covers 77 square metres, and there is the option to rig up as many as four headsails, each with its own furler. There is a genoa, and a Code 0, but there is also a staysail and a gennaker.

With the arrival of good weather in the Mediterranean, we begin the season of Yacht Events. This month we have been present at the SuperYacht Show at Palma de Mallorca where we had a stand in the Village for Nautor Swan Global Service & Brokerage along with three Swans accompanying us. We enjoyed a spectacular atmosphere and we had the opportunity to talk with our existing customers and meet new ones, planning ahead for the new season and introducing the work we do at Nautor’s Swan Global Service. We'll see you again next year!

Swan 57-109 Sigueme
Today we tell you the story of Sígueme, a Swan who arrived at our facilities asking for a complete inspection after running aground. Several areas of the boat suffered damage. For instance, the bulb had to be rebuilt where the yacht the impact occurred during the collision..
The joint between the keel and the hull was re-laminated. A Non-Destructive Test was made to verify that the rigging had no faults and we realized the forestay and backstay had to be re-made. In addition, the steering wheel was bent when the crash occurred and our Welding Team repaired it. Finally, part of the wooden ceilings and some furniture inside the yacht were re-furbished, which the Carpentry Department did very successfully. It is always stressful to run aground but actually, there is nothing that is impossible to repair with this experienced team at NSGS.

Swan 115 MOAT
A beautiful and elegant Swan 115, MOAT, has arrived at Nautor’s Swan Global Service to prepare for the season. One of the main jobs that is already underway is the redesign and construction of a new cockpit, work that is being carried out jointly by Nautor’s Swan and Nautor’s Swan Global Service. The result will be shared in the next communications.

Swan 48-232
Nautor Swan Global Service team has been coordinating the launching operations in Baltimore, USA for the recently arrived Swan 48-232.
During the next days, the commissioning process and familiarisation will start in Bert Jabin Yacht Yard.
